What To Expect
Most patients consider their Vivace treatment to be comfortable with little to no discomfort due to numbing done prior. Our aesthetician will prepare the skin by degreasing with an alcohol base solution pad if patients present with clean skin or preform an express facial to remove any debris oil from the skin prior to numbing. Using a mechanical hand-held pen, the skin is punctured by a sterile disposable fine- needle head safely creating a controlled injury opening micro-channels in the skin instantly stimulating collagen . This will eliminate the damaged visible cells, for smoother lines and less discoloration.
Other Considerations
After the vivace treatments, patients should avoid applying any products to the treatment area for 4 to 6 hours due to open skin channels and stay out of direct sun exposure for 72 hours always wearing sunscreen. After 24 hours the use of normal skincare (no exfoliating for at least 7 days) and makeup can be worn again without any problems or skin agitation. Note that if you currently have a nickle allergy,chronic skin conditions, metal implants, etc you are not a candidate. The face may appear to be red directly after treatment for 20 minutes to an hour, but you will not need to plan on any recovery time. Our aesthetician will be able to answer any aftercare questions that may come up after this treatment. Vivace can also be combined with other noninvasive treatments such as injectable's for greater improvements 2 weeks prior or before treatments.
