What happens during liposuction?

Initially, when you come out of anesthesia, Dr. Baron ensures you’re stable and sends you home with comprehensive aftercare instructions. You go home to recuperate and recover.

Expect to feel stiff or sore after the procedure. You’ll also have some swelling and bruising.

You can manage your discomfort with over-the-counter medications and should expect to be up and walking the day after your procedure. Dr. Baron usually asks you to wait five days before returning to work or regular activity. Avoid vigorous physical activity until she tells you it’s safe.
